THE SEARCH
More than thirty years ago, I had no idea where life would take me.
I only knew one thing: I wasn't looking for a job. I was looking for something that would keep challenging me for the rest of my life.
Photography wasn't the goal.
It became the answer.
At first, it was all about curiosity. I wanted to understand everything. The technical side fascinated me, but so did the creative freedom, the unexpected moments and the endless possibilities. Every assignment became a new opportunity to learn. Every photograph raised another question.
More than thirty years later, those questions are still there.
Not because I haven't found the answers.
But because the search itself is what keeps me moving.
CURIOSITY
I've never believed in standing still.
Throughout my career I've photographed people, brands, architecture, food, jewellery, sporting events and advertising campaigns. Not because I wanted to do everything, but because every subject taught me something new about light, composition and storytelling.
Curiosity has always been more important than certainty.
Every project starts with questions.
What is the real story?
What deserves attention?
What makes an image stay with us long after we've looked away?
Those questions are often more important than the camera itself.
LIGHT
People often ask about cameras.
The truth is, cameras change.
Technology evolves.
Trends come and go.
Light doesn't.
I've always believed that every memorable photograph begins long before the shutter is pressed. It begins with observing. Waiting. Understanding how light shapes people, spaces and emotions.
The camera simply records the decision that has already been made.
TODAY
Photography has changed enormously over the past three decades. Social media rewards speed.
Artificial intelligence can create images that never existed. The world is flooded with pictures.
Perhaps that's exactly why authentic photography has become more valuable than ever.
Today I photograph differently than I did when I started. I spend more time looking.
I select more carefully.
I leave room for coincidence. Sometimes the strongest image isn't the one I planned.
It's the one I discover afterwards.
That's why I still love what I do.
Not because I believe I've mastered photography.
But because I know there's always another image waiting to be found.
Thirty years later, I'm still searching.
Not for the perfect photograph.
But for the image that stays with you.
